Christmas and New Years!

Christmas and New Years are always special moments of the year, and this year was no different! New Years in Latin America is unforgettable. This year we watched fireworks from the balcony of our house - spectacular! As you can see from one of the many pictures we took, we were treated to a beautiful 20 minute demonstration of colors and sounds in the sky so typical of Latin America!

And for Christmas we were able to take advantage of some

bargain airfares to Ft. Lauderdale to be with Gregory, his fiancé, his future in-laws, friends and supporters. We also did some paperwork on our resident visas for Costa Rica, although less than what we had wanted. The picture to the left shows Judy, Gregory, Alexandra (his fiance) and Doris (her mother) making Venezuelan hallacas much like the Central American tamales. Making " hallacas is a tradition at Christmas time and we were thrilled that even during our short visit we were able to make over 50 of the banana leaf - wrapped delicacies!

Current Prayer Requests

We've begun the 1st quarter of 2016 with 47 students. This is 8 students less than our goal of 55, but we are thankful to God for those he has brought to us. Pray for these men and women as they grow in skills and knowledge through ProMETA's accessible education. Our goal is spiritual transformation that impacts families, churches, and communities.
Pray for Judy as she ministers two hours a day four days a week to elementary students in a local Christian school. This is a great local ministry that is blessed by her experience and passion.
Pray for Keith and his busy travel schedule these next three months. Trips to Texas, Turkey Costa Rica (twice) and New York are on the schedule.
Pray for the Latin American movement leaders who are meeting with our Reachglobal area leaders for organizational movement training. This is done on a monthly basis on Skype and once a year face to face. (More about this later.)
Pray for the many ProMETA staff who are facing health issues. Two have recently had back surgery. Another will be having an MRI on his spinal column.
Pray for our Reachglobal mission as we stay the course this year. Our top two directors have resigned and we will be prayerfully searching for their replacements.
Pray for about a fourth of the ProMETA students who need scholarship help in order to enroll in ProMETA.
Pray for the students who are finishing their programs and will be graduating this year. We praise God for all that He has done in their lives.
